When it comes to power supply for large facilities — production lines, grain elevators, data centers, or residential complexes — compromises are unacceptable. The DE-275BDS diesel generator with a nominal power of 200 kW (250 kVA) and a maximum power of 220 kW (275 kVA) is designed specifically for such tasks.
This model combines the French engineering traditions of the Baudouin concern and adaptation to harsh operating conditions. The station is capable of working both as a primary power source (in remote areas without power grids) and as a reliable backup ready to take the load in a matter of seconds.
The “heart” of the power station is the 6-cylinder diesel engine Baudouin 6M16G275/5 with a displacement of 9.7 liters. Unlike high-speed small-displacement engines, this unit has enormous torque and high inertia, allowing it to easily cope with high inrush currents of electric motors, pumps, and compressors.
Technical advantages of the engine:
Injection System: The use of modern fuel equipment ensures high injection pressure, which guarantees complete combustion of diesel. This reduces exhaust smoke and increases efficiency.
Turbocharging: An effective turbine with intermediate air cooling (intercooler) increases the density of incoming air, increasing power without increasing the thermal load on the piston group.
Cylinder Liners: The engine features “wet” type liners, which significantly simplifies overhaul and improves heat dissipation from the combustion chamber.
Economy: Fuel consumption is optimized for long-term operation. At 50% load, the station consumes about 29 L/h, and at 75% — about 42 L/h.
The DE-275BDS generator is equipped with an industrial-class synchronous brushless alternator. The stator and rotor windings are made of 100% electrical copper, covered with a double layer of heat-resistant varnish. This eliminates inter-turn short circuits even when heating during prolonged operation at the power limit.
The Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) system keeps the voltage within 400V ±1% and guarantees a pure sine wave with a frequency of 50 Hz. This allows for safe powering of:

The station operates under the control of a microprocessor controller (Datakom D-300 or equivalent). This is the “brain” of the generator, which fully automates the power supply process.
Auto Start: When the voltage in the city grid disappears, the controller gives a command to start, warms up the engine, and connects consumers. The entire process takes less than a minute.
Protection: The system continuously monitors operating parameters. In the event of a drop in oil pressure, overheating of antifreeze, engine overspeed, or short circuit, the controller will instantly stop the generator.
Event Log: The controller memory stores a history of starts and errors, which simplifies diagnostics and service maintenance.
The generator is supplied in a soundproof canopy that performs three functions:
Noise Reduction: Acoustic labyrinths and non-combustible sound-insulating mats reduce the noise level, allowing the station to be operated within city limits.
Thermoregulation: A louver system and a powerful fan ensure proper air circulation, preventing overheating even in summer heat (+40°C and above).
Protection: The canopy reliably protects unit assemblies from rain, snow, and dust, and lockable doors prevent unauthorized access.
